Badar Kazmi
President, CEO & Director
Mr. Kazmi brings with him wealth of experience spanning over 33 years including almost all facets of the banking business in Pakistan, Middle East, South Asia and Africa. Mr. Kazmi started his career with BCCI in 1980 and worked for 11 years in Pakistan and the Middle Eastern Region in the areas of Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Organization Learning and Treasury. Mr. Kazmi joined Standard Chartered Group (SCB) in 1991 and held various positions including Regional Head of Global Markets for MESA (Middle East and South Asia) and Africa. As Regional Head, he developed the business to become a major revenue contributor to SCB Group.
In 2003, he was appointed as CEO of SCB Pakistan, a position he held till late 2010. He subsequently moved to Saudi Arabia where he was instrumental in setting up the Investment Bank for SCB. Post the start of operations of Standard Chartered Capital Saudi Arabia in early 2011, Mr. Kazmi decided to leave SCB and returned to Pakistan. During his association with SCB Pakistan, he was instrumental in positioning the Bank as a significant force in banking in Pakistan. He not only successfully managed the acquisition of Union Bank but also executed an organic growth strategy thereby growing the Bank from a small network with 21 branches in 11 cities to being a major financial institution with 162 branches in 41 cities, thereby positioning the Bank as the largest and dominant International bank in Pakistan. In recognition for his services to banking in Pakistan, Mr. Kazmi was also decorated with the civil award ‘Sitara-e-Imtiaz’ by the President of Pakistan.

Adil Rashid
Head of Consumer Banking Group
Adil brings with him 27 years of diversified and rich banking experience in Consumer Finance, Investment Banking, Treasury, Credits and Marketing. Adil started his career with BCCI in 1985, he has worked with Union National Bank Abu Dhabi, First International Investment Bank and Bank Al-Falah. During his last assignment with Bank Al-Falah Ltd as Group Head Consumer Finance, he has launched and maintained one of the largest consumer asset business including mortgage, autos, credit / debit card and acquiring portfolio in the country while competing with 10 Banks. He was not only responsible for building one of the largest Consumer Assets business in Pakistan but was also instrumental in developing the business in Afghanistan and Bangladesh. Through his knowledge and experience he has managed the largest card base while maintaining a market share of 37% of competing Bank’s with an annual spend of $250 Million. He has also managed the largest Acquirer in the country with 65% market share competing with 5 other Acquirers having a yearly spend of over $350 Million with 38,000 merchants.
Adil holds a BBA from Miami University, USA and MBA from Marshall University, USA.
Uzma Munaf Ahmed Khan
Head of Corporate & Investment Banking Group
Uzma is a seasoned banker having more than 21 years of banking experience in Pakistan and abroad. She started her career in 1989 with Chase Manhattan Bank N.A. She also worked with ANZ Grindlay’s Bank, Standard Chartered Bank – Pakistan, South Africa and Singapore in various senior management roles. She has diversified experience in both local and foreign markets in different key areas including wholesale banking, consumer risk and investment banking.
Before joining NIB Bank as Head of Corporate & Investment Banking Group, she was working with Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), Singapore as Chief Operating Officer (Islamic Banking) and was instrumental in improving the performance of the bank.
She holds an MBA from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad.
Shah Miftaah Ul Azim Azmi
Group Head Treasury & Capital Market
Mr. Azmi has enriched banking experience spanning over 20 years, particularly in the area of Treasury, Capital Markets and Portfolio Management. He is honored to represent the Financial Market Association (FMA) of Pakistan in the capacity of President during 2009-2012. Mr. Azmi has joined NIB as Group Head Treasury & Capital Markets in September 2008. Before joining NIB, he was associated with Pak Oman Investment Company in the capacity of Senior Executive Vice President Treasury. Mr. Azmi has extensive experience of working with both local and foreign banks including Standard Chartered Bank, PICIC Commercial Bank, Union Bank Limited and Orix Investment Bank. Mr. Azmi has acquired Law degree from the University of Karachi.
Khusro Mumtaz
Group Head SME & Commercial Banking
Khusro brings with him extensive experience spanning over 22 years specializing in Corporate & Credit Risk. Prior to joining NIB Bank, he was employed by Standard Chartered as Chief Risk Officer in Bahrain, responsible for Enterprise-wide Risk management and as Senior Credit Officer for Wholesale Banking, Pakistan. He has also worked for American Express Bank, Banque Saudi Fransi and MashreqBank in Pakistan and the Middle East in the areas of Corporate Banking & Credit Risk. He holds an MBA with majors in Finance & MIS from Rice University, Houston Texas, USA. He is a certified Credit Risk Management Professional by American Express Bank and Omega Corporation, USA.

Yameen Kerai
CFO
Yameen has over 25 years experience in public accounting, and in Finance roles in the Insurance and Banking industry.
After graduating from London School of Economics, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Robson Rhodes in London. After pursuing public accounting with Touche Ross, one of the global big eight firms in Saudi Arabia, in their representative offices in Saudi Arabia, Yameen proceeded to Toronto, to work for Canada Life, one of the largest Canadian insurers. He was looking after Financial Reporting and Taxation of the US Division of Canada Life. He continued his career in Finance by joining as CFO, IT and Premises Head at ABN AMRO in Karachi, Pakistan. During this period, ABN AMRO, a Europe-based global bank rapidly expanded its franchise in Pakistan. Yameen was then asked to move to a Regional role as CFO, Asia Pacific, based in Singapore, looking after the Finance function in 13 countries in Asia.
Yameen returned to Pakistan to join NIB Bank in June 2005 as the CFO of the Bank. Currently, he is working as the CFO at NIB Bank.
Tufail Javed Ahmed
Chief Risk Officer
Tufail holds an MBA from IBA with major in Finance and holds extensive Risk Management and Audit experience spanning over 31 years. He started his career with Grindlays Bank in 1980 as a Management Trainee where he grew and progressed to different Senior Management roles. He continued working with Grindlays for over 25 years and gained experience in Corporate and Consumer Banking both in business and credit roles in Pakistan.
His international roles at Grindlays include Audit role in London, Corporate Banking role in Bahrain and four different Risk roles in the Middle East. Tufail subsequently joined National Bank of Fujairah a local UAE based entity as Head of Risk Management in 2005 and stayed there for a period of almost two years. He rejoined SCB in 2007 as Chief Risk Officer and stayed there until midyear 2011. He was also on the board of directors of two SCBPL subsidiaries, Standard Chartered Leasing Limited and Standard Chartered Services (Private) Limited, the managing company for Standard Chartered Modaraba.
Tufail is currently working with NIB as Chief Risk Officer.
Ahmed Fawad Hashmi
Head of Special Asset Management
Ahmed did his Bachelor of Commerce from Karachi University and brings with him more than 32 years of diversified International banking experience with various Banks and Organizations. He joined the BCCI group in 1979 as Management Trainee and worked in Egypt, Kuwait, Maldives and Sri Lanka with different entities of the BCCI Group in various roles until 1992 when he left the group while working as Senior Manager at National Bank of Oman SAO, Cairo, Egypt.
He established a trading and indenting house in Colombo, Sri Lanka, where he worked as Partner and Managing Director of the firm. He later joined Prime Commercial Bank Limited, Pakistan, and held various positions including Head of Country Operations, Chief Manager – Main Branch, Regional Head for Sindh and Baluchistan Region, and EVP and Country Head Banking Services Group, the position he held before leaving the bank in 2007. He then joined ABN Amro Bank N.V., Pakistan, as Country Head, Islamic Banking.
Thereafter, Ahmed joined Standard Chartered Bank as Country Head Operational Risk Assurance and Audit in 2007 until May 2011 working as Country/Area Head Audit for Pakistan, Jordan, Lebanon and Afghanistan before leaving. Prior to joining NIB Bank, he was working with Habib Metropolitan Bank, Pakistan since May 2011 as Senior Executive Vice President.
Khurram Gul Agha
Head of Operations and Technology
Mr. Khurram Gul Agha brings with him 18+ years of experience in the areas of IT, Operations, Product Management, Cash Management, Alternate Delivery Channels, Financial Institutions Management and Home Remittances in Banking, Logistics and IT industries.
After graduating from State University of New York, Binghamton Khurram returned to Pakistan. Prior to his current role, he has worked as a Country Head in First Data International for nearly 2 years. In his career he has held various senior positions at UBL, Citibank, TCS.
Khurram joined NIB as Head Transactional Banking in July 2010, he was entrusted with additional responsibility of Head Information Technology during November 2010. During this era he has made effective implementation and development of strategic IT initiatives, implementation of critical projects, improving work flows and operational efficiency and disaster management planning.
Currently he is working as Group Head Operations and Technology at NIB Bank.
Najeeb Gilani
Head of Internal Audit Group (IAG)
Najeeb Gilani is heading NIB Internal Audit Group Head reporting to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
Najeeb is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from Texas, USA. He holds a Bachelor in Business Administration and a Masters in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. Najeeb has nearly 20 years of experience in Audit, Finance, and Treasury roles in global banks while being a resident in USA, Singapore, UAE, and Pakistan. Prior to his current role, Najeeb served at Citigroup, Singapore where he led Audit and Risk Review teams in the Asia Pacific Region covering various business lines. As Head of Internal Audit at NIB Bank Ltd, Najeeb is passionately concerned with attaining optimal internal controls, best of class risk management practices, high compliance standards, and a demonstrably superior ethical behavior tradition within our organization.”
Naveed Elahi Malik

Mr. Naveed Elahi Malik has served over 38 years in banking sector and has held various senior positions in different banks. He also served with National Accountability Bureau (NAB) as Head of Financial Crimes & Investigation Wing. He is having diversified exposure in the field of Audit & Inspection – Internal Control – Quality Assurance – Fraud Risk Management (Investigations & Prevention) – Branch Operations & Branch Banking. Rahim Villiani

Mr. Rahim has to his credit more than 13 years of banking experience in Pakistan. In his last assignment at First Microfinance Bank he was the Group Head Support (Strategy, Finance & Secretarial, Admin & Security, IT and Bank Operations). Prior to joining First Microfinance Bank, he has worked as the Head of Credit, Head of Finance (Consumer Banking) and Country Financial Controller at Standard Chartered Bank for 6 years. Mr. Rahim has also been associated with Ernst & Young in Bahrain and KPMG in Pakistan.
Mr. Rahim holds a Chartered Financials from CFA Institute, Virginia, USA, Chartered Accountant in Financial Accountancy from the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Pakistan, and Cost and Management Accountant in Financial Management for The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan.
Asma Shaikh
Group Head of Human Resource
Asma Shaikh is a seasoned HR professional with over twenty years of overall experience in the banking, pharmaceutical, education, healthcare and energy sectors. She has to her credit around twelve years of experience of HR leadership roles with leading banks both locally and globally.
Her last employment was with Silk Bank Limited as Group Head of Human Resources and prior to that Asma was in UAE as Head of HR, Barclays Africa Regional Office and Regional Head of Leadership, Learning & Organizational Effectiveness.
In Pakistan, she has worked in the capacity of Head of HR for Dubai Islamic Bank, HSBC and Deutsche Bank AG.
Asma Shaikh is MBTI certified from IHS Dubai and Top-Grading accreditation from Barclays UK. She is a qualified Occupational Personality Assessment professional from SHL – Hong Kong and Performance Management expert from Achieve Global – Singapore.
