How do I register for NIB DirectPay?
All ATM Card holders are eligible to use NIB DirectPay. You can set up the directdebit instructions by filling in the attached NIB DirectPay registration form. You may also call Phone Banking on 021-111-NIB(642)-111 to set up the direct debit instructions on your account. For one-off payments and transfers through ATMs and Phone Banking, you are not required to register.
How do the direct debit instructions work?
Once you register for NIB DirectPay, every month your registered bill is paid and/or funds are transferred directly from your bank account according to the schedule you specify, allowing you to simply review payments on your bank account statement. You will never have to worry about due dates or missed payments.
After I register, when are my direct debit instructions activated?
The direct debit instructions are activated within 1 week of receiving your complete registration form. All bills/transfers applicable after this date will be executed from your bank account according to your instructions.
What happens if there are no funds in my bank account?
If your bank account does not have adequate funds to cover your bill amount or your funds transfer request, NIB DirectPay will reject the payment/transfer request. However, we shall continue to retry for the next 6 days before cancelling the request and carrying it forward to the next month.
How will I know that the direct debit instructions and/or requested transaction for bill payments and funds transfer have been carried out? Will I get any proof of the payment made?
After a bill payment or transfer is made, you will receive a message of confirmation on your email address/mobile number registered with NIB. You may also visit your nearest NIB banking branch to obtain the transaction confirmation receipt for your bill payment and funds transfer transactions.
Can I change my account number specified at the time of registration for direct debit instructions?
You can call Phone Banking on 021-111-642-111 and request the change.
Are there any charges for using NIB DirectPay?
